Indicator leaflets supporting FNCSD work

The original primary purpose for indicators of sustainable development was to support the measuring and monitoring of sustainable development. However, over time it has turned out that the relatively extensive set of indicators may not meet the needs of the policymakers. Particularly, it seems that the indicators do not sufficiently support the work of the National Commission on Sustainable Development. Since the beginning of 2004, leaflets on indicators relating to the current meeting topic have been produced for the Commission's meetings. This approach supplies the Commission members with up-to-date information that is relevant to the discussion. The Commission on Sustainable Development meets four times a year and the theme indicators are published as the meetings are held.

The following leaflets have been published in 2004:

2005:

2006:

  • Education and sustainable development
