Library and information service
The Information Service of the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) is a public scientific library specialized on environmental information. It compiles, maintains and distributes extensive information on environmental issues. The library has about 60,000 volumes, 10 000 electronic journals, 800 printed periodicals and environmental databases.
Searches and loans
Clients are free to search the publications they need among the materials on the shelves. For a charge SYKE’s Information Service can also make a search for specific information from Finnish or foreign data banks for the client. The loan period for publications is one month. The library can also send loaned publications or photocopies of library material by mail.
