The participating organisations, namely the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE), Finnish Museum of Natural History (LUOMUS) and Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI), concentrate the development on five specific entities:
- The enhanced use of GIS- and remote sensing infrastructure for environmental applications
- The development of the National Satellite Data Centre (NSDC)
- The development of the Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility (FinBIF)
- The redesigned utilisation of citizen observations in environmental monitoring
- Enhanced management and sharing of research datasets.
