Work at Raijalanjärvi Lake

Pools of water will be excavated at Raijalanjärvi Lake, and birds resting in the area will be fed with grain and potatoes.

Raijalanjärvi Lake is a favourite field area for geese, swans and cranes. It is owned by Huittinen Prison. By creating pools of water and placing feed in specific places, birds can be guided to areas where they will not be disturbed. At the same time, birds can be controlled so that people can take part in birdwatching in the area without disturbing the activities of the prison. During the project, structures to guide ramblers will also be built in the area.
