Regionally threatened species

The regional threat assessment examines the regional status of the species that have nationally been classified as Near Threatened (NT) and Least Concern (LC). The latest regional threat assessment was carried out in 2010 for some groups of organisms. The evaluation will now be updated after the completion of the national evaluation. The regional threat assessment does not include all species groups.

The regional evaluation applies the IUCN criteria for national assessment, but the species are not classified into several different categories. Instead, only one, "Regionally Threatened" (RT), class is used.
